Dashboard is the first page you see. What it shows depends on your role. The side menu next to it takes you to everything else you can use. This guide explains both.
Your dashboard
Choose Dashboard at the top of the side menu. The page is titled with the name of one of your roles and shows the panel for that role. Under the title, Summary of followed by a name tells you whose dashboard you are looking at: yours, or that of the person you chose.
Change the person or the role
In the box next to the role name, or under it on a narrow screen:
- User lists you and the people in the departments under yours, so you can see their dashboard.
- Role lists the roles of that person. The dashboard opens on the first one; choose another to see its panel.
Choose them and click Go.
Some roles have no panel of their own. For them, the page shows only the role name, whose summary it is and the two lists. If you have no role at all, the page is empty.
Task payment
Developers and QA see Task payment: the tasks assigned to you in sprints that are still active. The table has these columns:
- Proyect and Sprint: where the task belongs.
- Summary: the task. When your role lets you see task records, click it to open the task's record. Tasks that count towards the Slicing Pie carry a Slicing Pie label.
- Details: click See details to read the task's details, with the same headings, lists and links as in the task's own window, and the × to close them. A task without them shows No details available.
- Cost: the amount assigned for the task.
- Qa Validated At: a check mark or a cross. Today it shows a cross on every task, so check where a task stands from the project's task board instead; see Validate tasks.
Click Summary or Qa Validated At at the top of the table to sort by that column; the first click sorts from last to first, and each click after that reverses the order. Qa Validated At sorts by the date the pull request was validated, not by the mark it shows. Clicking Proyect or Cost does not change the order.
With no tasks assigned, you see You have no assigned tasks. instead of the table.
How to work on your tasks is in Work on your tasks.
Sales and your monthly goal
Sellers see their commissions against a monthly goal.
- If you have no goal yet, you see You havent set your monthly goal. Click Set up now.
- In Edit monthly goal, type your Monthly goal and click Save. It must be at least 1.
Once you have a goal:
- Select month lets you choose Current month, Previous month or Two months ago.
- The bar shows the commissions added for you that month, scheduled for payment or already paid, out of your goal, and the percentage Completed, up to 100%. Edit changes the goal.
- Sales lists each project and sprint you earned a commission on that month, with its Total sold, Total Payed and Total Pending. With nothing to show, it says No data.
- Earnings chart by month shows what you earned each month. Change Months to show to see between 1 and 12 months.
Projects you manage
Project managers see Active projects: the projects you manage that have an active sprint, with each sprint under its project and the project's manager next to its name. Each sprint shows how much of its Budget is spent, Money received, Money spent, Profit, Profit %, Estimated date and Last activity. The list shows 10 projects per page. With none, you see There are no active projects.
Below, Manual Time Requests lists the time people added by hand that is waiting for a decision, with the number waiting next to the title. You see the requests of every project if you can see finances, and only those of the projects you manage otherwise. Each row shows the User, the Date, the Project, the Task, the Start time, the End time, the Duration and its Status, Pending. The list shows 10 requests per page.
- In Actions, click Approve or Reject on a request.
- Confirm Approve this manual time entry? or Reject this manual time entry?. The request leaves the list.
Approve and Reject only show on the requests you can review: those of the projects you manage, or any request when you can see finances. Your own requests are listed too, without them: someone else decides on your time.
With nothing waiting, you see No pending manual time requests. How time is recorded is in Track your time.
Project and studio leadership
Leadership roles for projects and the studio see two sections.
Licences expiring lists up to five active licences that end within the next month or ended in the last week, the soonest first. Each row shows the Licence, with its project or client under it, and its End Date. In Actions, View more opens that licence; View more next to the title opens the full list of expiring licences. With none, you see There are no expiring licences right now. Licences are explained in Clients, services and licences.
My projects lists the active projects with their sprints. Each project's row shows its name and, under Project Manager, who runs it. Each sprint's row shows:
- Assigned: who works on the project. Click the eye to see everyone, with their name and email.
- Pending: a blue label with the number of costs, such as 1 cost or 3 costs, when the sprint has costs assigned to people, and a red Pending payment label when the sprint has spent more than it has received and is waiting for a payment.
- Open tasks and Closed tasks: the project's tasks still open and already closed.
- Budget: a bar with how much of the budget is spent.
- Start Date and End Date.
Company overview
The company-wide view has three sections.
- Areas shows what each internal Area spent in the Current month, the Previous month and Two months ago, with its Last activity. Monthly totals adds each month up. A month counts everything paid up to the end of its last day, in your time zone.
- Completed sprints lists the sprints finished in the last month and those not ready yet. Choose Unapproved sprints or Approved sprints to switch between them. Each row shows the sprint and its project, the Budget, Money received, Money spent, Profit, Profit %, Status and Finish date. To approve a sprint, click Approve in Status; your browser asks Are you sure you want to approve this sprint?. Accept, and the sprint leaves Unapproved sprints and is listed in Approved sprints, where it shows Approved. Only a CEO or someone who can see finances can approve a sprint.
- Active projects lists every project with an active sprint, with the same figures and its Last activity.
Completed sprints shows 5 rows per page and Active projects 10. In both, the eye next to Money spent opens the sprint's expenses. Projects and sprints are explained in Manage projects and sprints.
The side menu
The menu is split into groups. Click a group's name to open or close it; the menu remembers your choice, and the group of the page you are on opens by itself. A group only appears when it has at least one entry you can use, and each entry below says when it shows up.
If you can see plans, a Plan card at the top of the menu shows your current plan, or No plan. Upgrade opens the plans.
Fold the menu to its icons
On a wide screen, the menu button at the left of the top bar folds the side menu into a narrow strip of icons, which leaves more room for the page. Click it again to unfold it.
While the menu is folded:
- Each entry shows only its icon. Point at it to see its name.
- The groups do not open or close: their names give way to a thin line, and all their entries show.
- The Plan card is hidden.
The menu stays folded or unfolded as you left it, on every page and the next time you come back from the same browser.
On a narrow screen the side menu is hidden, and the same button opens it over the page. Close it with the × next to it.
