The finances dashboard

See what the company is still owed and still owes, and compare incomes and expenses between two periods.

Finances gives a quick picture of the company's money: what is still pending today, and how incomes, expenses and earnings in a period compare with the period before it. This guide explains each figure.

Open the dashboard

Choose Finances in the Finances group of the side menu. Only people who can see finances have it; for anyone else the page does not exist.

The page, titled Finances, starts with Current Situation.

Current Situation

The first row shows what is pending right now, whatever its date:

  • Pending income is every income not received yet.
  • Pending expenses is every expense not paid yet.
  • Difference is Pending income minus Pending expenses. When the company owes more than it is owed, it is negative.

Here and in the stats below, incomes count when their Type is Real, Nu, Mercado Pago, BBVA or empty: the same incomes the Real filter shows in Incomes and expenses. Incomes From Expense or From Earnings are left out. Expenses count whatever their payment method.

Stats

The stats compare what was actually received and paid in a period with the period of the same length just before it. The page opens on the last seven days up to yesterday.

  1. Pick the first day in From and the last day in To.
  2. Click Generate Report.

The dates you pick are kept in the page's address, so you can bookmark or share the link and it opens on the same period.

Each card, Incomes, Expenses and Earnings, shows the total for your period and, after of, the total for the period before. Earnings are incomes minus expenses, so they can be negative. A badge shows how much the figure went up or down, as a percentage:

  • For incomes and earnings, going up is green and going down is red.
  • For expenses, going up is red and going down is green.

The percentage is the change measured against the size of the period before, so it follows the amounts even when earnings are negative: earnings that go from -100 to 50 show 150.00% with the up arrow. When the figure did not change, the badge shows 0.00% with no arrow, in grey. When the period before has nothing, there is nothing to compare against: the badge shows —, in grey, and you read the amounts instead.

These figures count incomes and expenses by the day they were paid. Something scheduled for your period but not paid yet is not in them; it is in Current Situation.

To record or correct the incomes and expenses behind these figures, see Incomes and expenses.
