Slicing Pie

See how the Slicing Pie is shared out, and the contributions behind each person's slices.

Slicing Pie shows how the company's shared value is split between the people who take part in it. Each person's slices are what has been transferred to them through the accounts that count toward the Slicing Pie, and their share is those slices compared with everyone's. This guide explains both pages.

Who can see it

Only people who take part in the Slicing Pie see Slicing Pie in the Weblabor group of the side menu. Whether you take part is a setting on your account that an administrator changes; if you do not take part and open the page anyway, you are told you do not have access.

Everyone who takes part sees the whole pie, including the details of every other participant.

The Slicing Pie dashboard

Choose Slicing Pie in the side menu. The page is titled Slicing Pie Dashboard, with Summary of participations based on project contributions. under it.

  • Total Project Value, shown under Accumulated Slices, is what all those transfers add up to, with money in and money out netting each other out. It is always shown as a positive amount.
  • Comparison by Slices is a chart with one column per participant.
  • Collaborators lists each participant, largest first, with their Name, their Slices and their Percentage of the total, shown as a bar and a figure.

Each participant's Slices are worked out the same way from their own transfers, and are also shown as a positive amount. So when some participants' transfers net out in one direction and others' in the other, the slices add up to more than Total Project Value, and the percentages add up to more than 100%.

Click View Details on a row to open that person's page. It appears only on the rows of people with an account; a participant who is a client or a provider has no details page.

The figures are worked out from the transfers that count toward the Slicing Pie, and the page keeps them for up to a day. Adding or editing such a transfer updates them straight away; other changes, such as deleting a transfer or an account starting or stopping to count, can take up to a day to show. Nothing on this page can be edited.

A participant's details

The page is titled Slicing Pie Details followed by the person's name, with List of contributions and slices accumulated by this collaborator. under it.

  • Total Accumulated is that person's slices, shown under Total Slices.
  • Elements Detail lists their transfers, newest first, with the Registration Date and the Value (Slices) of each. The list shows 15 transfers at a time; use the page links under it to see more.

Click the arrow at the end of a row to see what that transfer paid for: the Date, the Task/Element Detail with the notes of each item under it, its Slices, and View Detail to open the payment or the expense it came from.

A person with no transfers that count shows No Slicing Pie elements for this user.

Your own payments

If you take part in the Slicing Pie, Payments also splits your payments into two tabs: Pagos en Efectivo for what was paid to you and Slicing Pie for what went into your slices. See Your payments.
